Are you crazy?Right now a lot of cats are contracting rabies.Does your “old cat”have shots?Get rid of the stray or get shots for it.Did the “stray”lick any open wounds on your skin?
Sorry to be a drip,but that disease is no joke.
There are vector species like foxes,raccoons,and skunks that encounter cats and beef with them and transmit the virus.
Shots after exposure are 100% effective-if symptoms start,you’re cooked.And so is anyone you so much as kissed on the mouth.

Good-but the stray needs them if it’s gonna stay.There has been an outbreak of cat rabies in Silver Lake among strays.

one of my kids actually had “cat scratch fever”.
