Now that is a troubling thought; having to put up with me for as long as it has been, and looking at how long it might be–very troubling. But I do hope Ann Nixon Cooper had a nicer ride through life.

There’s a photo, and at 107 she looked better than I do some days when I first wake up.
I’ve notice that extremely old people tend to be healthy. They’re made of strong stuff.
I’m not sure longevity is an unmixed blessing, but it beats the alternative. I do get tired of myself sometimes, even though I hope to stick around for a while.
