The FDA has ordered a recall of antimicrobial products because they have–microbes.

Consumers should not use any Clarcon products and should throw them away, the FDA said.

Analyses of several samples of over-the-counter topical antimicrobial skin sanitizer and skin protectant products revealed high levels of various bacteria, including some associated with unsanitary conditions, according to the agency.

The manufacturers weren’t going by the book and got caught on inspection, but it makes you wonder what else is out there.
